Entrepreneur Achint Agarwal, Founder of RFSA Entertainment and Urban Foods, shares his inspiring journey from launching a small catering and event venture during his college years in 2018 to building successful brands in the events, entertainment, and hospitality industry. In this exclusive interview, he discusses his entrepreneurial journey, challenges, achievements, vision for the future, and valuable advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.
My entrepreneurial journey began in 2018 while I was still pursuing my bachelor’s degree. Around that time, I had also enrolled in hotel management at Chandigarh University because I had a strong interest in hospitality, events, and the experience industry.
However, during my time there, I realized something important about my aspirations. I didn’t just want to study the industry or work under someone else. I wanted to build something of my own. That realization led me to make a difficult but defining decision. I decided to step away from my hotel management program to fully focus on starting my own venture.
What started as a small catering and event initiative during my college years gradually evolved into RFSA Entertainment and later Urban Foods.
Over the years, the journey has been intense and full of learning. From organizing small gatherings in the beginning, we gradually expanded into weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, concerts, Bollywood events, and artist management.
Each experience played a role in shaping the company and the vision I have today for both brands.
Starting a business at a young age without a strong industry network or large financial backing was definitely challenging.
In the events industry, credibility is everything. Convincing clients to trust a young entrepreneur with important events like weddings, corporate parties, or concerts required a lot of persistence and confidence.
There were also operational challenges, managing vendors, coordinating logistics, building a reliable team, and ensuring that every event ran smoothly. Events are high-pressure environments where every detail matters.
There were moments when the journey felt extremely demanding, but those challenges helped build resilience and sharpen my problem-solving abilities.
Over the years, both ventures have grown significantly.
RFSA Entertainment started with smaller events but gradually expanded into managing larger and more diverse experiences, including luxury weddings, corporate events, concerts, Bollywood shows, and artist management.
We have moved beyond just event management to creating complete entertainment experiences.
Urban Foods developed as a natural extension of our catering services. Food is one of the most important elements of any event, and we wanted to ensure that the culinary experience matched the quality and creativity of the events we organize.
Today, both brands operate with stronger systems, a professional network, and a dedicated team committed to delivering memorable experiences.
Our approach is centered around experience, personalization, and reliability.
Every event is unique, and we believe it should reflect the client’s vision and personality. Instead of offering standardized solutions, we focus on customizing every detail, from concept development and planning to food and entertainment.
Another key element of our business model is artist management and entertainment curation, which allows us to provide a complete ecosystem for events, including celebrity performances and entertainment experiences.
With Urban Foods, our focus is on delivering quality food with creative presentation that complements the overall event experience.
One of the biggest milestones for me is the journey itself.
Starting a small catering and event initiative in 2018 while I was still a student and building it into a company that now organizes weddings, corporate events, concerts, Bollywood events, and artist collaborations has been incredibly rewarding.
Every successful event represents the trust that clients place in us, and that trust is something we value deeply.
I am also proud of the strong network of artists, partners, vendors, and team members that we have built along the way.
The events and entertainment industry is evolving rapidly.
Today’s clients are looking for unique and immersive experiences rather than traditional events. Themes, storytelling, and entertainment are becoming more central to event design.
We are also seeing more integration of technology, large-scale productions, international collaborations, and experiential events.
In the food industry, innovation in menus, presentation, and quality will continue to play a major role.
Businesses that remain creative, adaptable, and focused on customer experience will lead the industry in the coming years.
A few key principles have guided our growth.
First is consistency in quality. Every event, regardless of its scale, receives the same level of professionalism and attention.
Second is building strong relationships with clients, artists, and vendors. Trust and collaboration are essential in this industry.
Third is continuous learning and adaptation. The industry evolves quickly, so staying open to new ideas has been important for our growth.
Word-of-mouth referrals and repeat clients have also played a major role in expanding our reach.
My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to start with passion but also be prepared for hard work and patience.
The events and entertainment industry is exciting, but it is also demanding. Success requires creativity, discipline, and the ability to manage pressure.
Young entrepreneurs should focus on building credibility, gaining real-world experience, and creating strong networks within the industry.
Most importantly, believe in your vision and stay consistent even when the journey becomes challenging.
My vision is to take RFSA Entertainment to a global level.
In the coming years, I want the company to expand internationally and become one of the leading event and entertainment companies in the world, producing large-scale concerts, events, and entertainment experiences across different markets.
Another long-term goal is to eventually list the company on the stock exchange, which would mark a major milestone for the brand.
For Urban Foods, the goal is to expand its presence and continue delivering high-quality culinary experiences that complement the events we produce.
Ultimately, the vision is to build globally recognized brands that represent creativity, professionalism, and excellence.
Entrepreneurship is a journey that requires courage, patience, and resilience.
My own journey, from starting a small catering and event initiative during my bachelor’s degree in 2018 to building RFSA Entertainment and Urban Foods today, has been full of challenges, learning, and growth.
To young entrepreneurs, my message is simple: take bold decisions, stay consistent, and never stop learning.
If you remain focused on your vision and continue working with dedication, success will eventually follow.
