TimbuckDo Partners with IdeaBaaz Startup Fest to Create Rs. 25 Lakh Worth of Earning Opportunities for 100+ Students

TimbuckDo Created Rs. 25 Lakh in Earning Opportunities for Students Through IdeaBaaz Startup Fest

Partnership positioned student gig work as a practical bridge between education, entrepreneurship and India’s evolving startup ecosystem

New Delhi, August 13, 2026: TimbuckDo, India’s student gig platform, partnered with IdeaBaaz Startup Fest as its Workforce Partner, creating earning opportunities worth Rs. 25 lakh for more than 100 students during the five day startup festival scheduled to take place from August 26 to 30, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The partnership marked an important milestone in TimbuckDo’s own journey with IdeaBaaz. Having previously appeared on IdeaBaaz as a startup seeking funding, TimbuckDo returned to the platform in a different role, this time helping create opportunities for students and supporting the wider startup ecosystem.

As Workforce Partner, TimbuckDo was set to facilitate gig opportunities for more than 100 students across multiple roles during the festival. The initiative was designed to allow students to earn while gaining first hand exposure to the workings of a large scale startup event.

The opportunity extended beyond short term employment. Students participating in the festival were expected to work alongside startups, entrepreneurs, investors and other ecosystem stakeholders, gaining practical insight into the processes involved in organising and operating a major entrepreneurial platform. For many participants, the experience was intended to provide an early bridge between academic learning and the professional environment.

The partnership also reflected a broader shift in how young people are entering the workforce. As India’s startup ecosystem continues to create new forms of employment and entrepreneurship, student gig work is emerging as a way for young talent to gain practical experience before completing their education.

For TimbuckDo, the initiative formed part of its larger objective of bringing students into the mainstream economy through meaningful work opportunities. By connecting students with startup events and entrepreneurial communities, the platform aimed to create a model in which young people could learn, earn and build professional confidence at the same time.

Mythri Kumar, Co founder and CEO, TimbuckDo, said the association represented a significant moment in the company’s relationship with IdeaBaaz. She noted that moving from appearing on the show as a startup seeking funding to becoming a workforce partner demonstrated how the relationship had evolved beyond the original television platform.

Kumar added that the initiative would create Rs. 25 lakh worth of earning opportunities for more than 100 students over five days, while giving them the opportunity to experience the startup ecosystem from within. She emphasised that student gig work could become an important pathway for young people to gain practical exposure, build confidence and understand entrepreneurship in a real world setting.

Jeet Wagh and Mudit Kumar, Co founders, IdeaBaaz, described TimbuckDo’s participation as a full circle moment. They said the partnership reflected IdeaBaaz’s broader objective of maintaining relationships with founders beyond the show and building a live startup ecosystem in Delhi.

The initiative was also designed to make students active contributors to the IdeaBaaz Startup Fest rather than simply attendees. By participating in the execution of the festival, students would gain exposure to the people, processes and opportunities shaping India’s entrepreneurial landscape.

For businesses and startup platforms, the partnership offered access to a new generation of talent, while students gained an opportunity to understand workplace expectations, entrepreneurship and professional collaboration through direct experience.

The model therefore brought together three elements that are often treated separately: education, employment and entrepreneurship. By enabling students to earn while acquiring practical skills and industry exposure, TimbuckDo and IdeaBaaz sought to demonstrate how gig work could become an accessible entry point into the professional world.
