Shriram Life Awards Scholarships to Telangana Govt-School Toppers Across 119 Constituencies

CSR initiative supports merit students with scholarships up to ₹1 lakh, empowering their higher-education journey

Shriram Life Insurance has announced an inspiring educational initiative, awarding scholarships to Class 10 toppers from government schools across all 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana for the academic year 2024–25.

As part of this programme, each constituency topper will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹30,000, while the top three rankers at the state level will be honoured with scholarships of ₹1 lakh each — a meaningful step toward helping young achievers pursue their intermediate studies with confidence.

The list of eligible students — exclusively from state-run government schools — was provided by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana.

A special felicitation event was held in Hyderabad, attended by senior dignitaries. Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, personally handed over the scholarship cheques to the recipients. He was joined by Casparus J.H. Kromhout (MD & CEO, Shriram Life Insurance), KRC Sekhar (MD), R. Duruvasan (Director), and Srinivas Reddy (Executive Director).

“This initiative closely aligns with our purpose of serving the community. We look forward to more students being motivated by this programme and achieving higher success in their academics and holistic well-being,”
said Casparus J.H. Kromhout, MD & CEO, Shriram Life Insurance.

Addressing the students, Minister D. Sridhar Babu underscored the significance of value-based education and skill development, encouraging students to nurture self-confidence and acquire new-age capabilities to benefit from emerging job openings in Telangana.

He emphasized that true success lies in an education anchored in values, discipline, and practical skills, enabling the youth to build flourishing careers and contributing meaningfully to society.
