At the 6th edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 in Mumbai, Invest in Denmark and Copenhagen Fintech, in partnership with Startup Réseau, hosted a thematic session on Green Fintech, highlighting sustainable innovation in financial services and digital solutions for a low-carbon future.

The session convened policymakers, industry leaders, investors, startups, and ecosystem enablers to explore collaborative approaches that drive climate-aligned financial innovation. During the event, the report titled ‘Green Fintech – Denmark: Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Future’ was launched, featuring leading startups and fintech clusters from Denmark and India, emphasizing opportunities for cross-border collaboration in sustainable finance.
Key Highlights from the Event:
- H.E. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India, opened the session, underlining Denmark’s commitment to advancing global sustainability through collaboration.
- Ulrik Nødgaard, Governor, Danmarks Nationalbank, shared Denmark’s experience in integrating climate considerations into financial regulation.
- Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairperson, International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), delivered a special address on India’s vision for green and innovative finance.
The discussions focused on regulatory alignment, policy clarity, and mobilization of private capital to strengthen investor confidence in climate-focused financial instruments. Participants emphasized that partnerships among banks, corporates, and fintechs are critical to accelerating the adoption of low-carbon business models and fostering blended finance innovations.
Denmark’s participation at GFF 2025 aimed to showcase the Nordic region as a leader in Ethical AI, Quantum technology, cybersecurity, and sustainability-driven Green Fintech. With enhanced air connectivity from Delhi and Mumbai to Copenhagen, the platform positions Denmark as a stable, investor-friendly gateway for collaborations between Indian and Nordic fintech ecosystems.
