Marking its first anniversary, Anantara’s debut Indian property reflects a year of sustainability-led progress, strong local engagement, and a distinctive new identity in Jaipur’s luxury landscape.
Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur has completed its debut year one marked by thoughtful sustainability, cultural immersion, and steady operational growth. For the brand’s first Indian outpost, the past twelve months have been about more than opening its doors; it has been about shaping a new blueprint for responsible luxury in Rajasthan.
Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur
From the outset, the hotel positioned itself at the intersection of Thai-inspired elegance and Jaipur’s regal heritage. Yet the defining highlight of this year has been its bold sustainability initiatives. A major milestone arrived with the commissioning of a 1.25 MW off-site solar PV plant in Bikaner, supplying renewable energy to the hotel through a Wheeling & Banking model. This move alone places Anantara Jewel Bagh among the region’s most environmentally forward luxury properties.
Alongside this, the hotel has introduced an impressive suite of eco-conscious practices: a No Bin Day programme, batch cooking to minimise food waste, exclusive use of cage-free eggs and responsible seafood, 24-hour composting, and real-time energy optimisation with a smart Building Management System. Its zero-discharge sewage treatment, water-efficient metering, and ongoing energy audits collectively reinforce a philosophy where sustainability is not an addition—but an everyday operational rhythm.
Equally notable has been its commitment to cultural engagement. The hotel has collaborated closely with local artisans and performers, creating platforms for puppet artists, lakh-chudi makers, henna specialists, potters, and other craftspeople. Village school partnerships around hygiene awareness and career guidance reflect a genuine effort to create long-term, meaningful community touchpoints.
“Bringing the Anantara experience to India was a thrilling challenge,” says General Manager Vimal Verma. “Our vision was to create a destination rooted in Rajasthani heritage and global in spirit, and its reception in the first year has been immensely rewarding.”

It has also emerged as a preferred venue for major events—from the Great Indian Travel Bazaar’s inaugural dinner to hosting the Rajasthan Royals and leading global corporations. On the culinary front, restaurants like Amrit Mahal, Rajputana Chowk, and the Amber Fort–inspired Sheesh Mahal have quickly become coveted dining destinations in the city. Entering its second year, Anantara plans to introduce immersive dining journeys and a flagship global cuisine restaurant as part of its Designer Dining expansion.
Wellness has seen parallel growth. The Anantara Spa now offers advanced facials and restorative treatments, ensuring the brand’s global wellness ethos is deeply felt in Jaipur. Behind the scenes, the hotel’s 97% Employee Satisfaction Score underscores a workplace culture built on pride and purpose.
Looking ahead, the “Artisans as Ambassadors” initiative will take centre stage, offering guests hands-on experiences such as Bagru block printing, carpet weaving tours, blue pottery sessions, and miniature painting workshops—each crafted to connect visitors with Jaipur’s artistic soul.
To mark the anniversary, guests booking between 15 November and 31 December 2025 for stays from January to March 2026 will receive INR 5,000 hotel credit, with Minor DISCOVERY members enjoying additional savings.
As Anantara’s pioneering Indian property, Jewel Bagh Jaipur continues to reflect Minor Hotels’ global vision—where sustainability, culture, and conscious luxury are woven seamlessly into every experience.
