AI Is Rewriting Retail: Webuters CEO Krishna Bhatt Explains How

In the retail business, companies seek precision, dependability and agility and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become mature enough to provide solutions to these points. In an interview with Aditya Rangroo, Mr. Krishna Bhatt, Founder and CEO at Webuters Technologies, speaks about the how his company is fixing the structural gaps from the grass root level.

1. What gaps or pain points in the retail industry are you specifically addressing through your new AI-driven offerings?

In retail, the biggest pain points are the ones everyone quietly tolerates slow catalogue cycles, high production costs, inconsistent customer journeys, and the operational drag of manual processes. With our new AI-driven retail stack, we are fixing these structural inefficiencies at the root. We are helping brands accelerate visual content creation, simplify product discovery, and deliver faster, more intuitive customer support. Retailers want accuracy, agility, and reliability, and AI is finally mature enough to deliver that at scale. Our goal is simple: eliminate friction so retailers can focus on growth and customer delight instead of operational firefighting.

2. Could you explain how your AI Try-On technology works and what kind of impact it can create for fashion and lifestyle retailers?

Our AI Try-On uses advanced computer vision to map body shape, posture, and fabric dynamics onto a customer’s photo, producing realistic try-on visuals without distortion or guesswork. It’s built to replicate the experience of a fitting room, but with the ease of a smartphone. The real impact shows up in reduced returns, higher conversions, and increased product confidence. Customers are no longer imagining how something might look — they see it instantly. For retailers, this bridges the trust gap in online shopping and creates a far more engaging and personalised product exploration experience.

3. How does the AI Photo Studio reduce production costs and speed up catalog creation for e-commerce brands?

The traditional photoshoot model is expensive, slow, and heavily dependent on coordination. Our AI Photo Studio removes those constraints by generating studio-quality product images using a single reference image or digital asset. This cuts production costs by over half and reduces catalog timelines from weeks to hours. Retailers can instantly update product backgrounds, variants, and campaign-specific visuals without reshooting anything. It gives teams complete creative freedom while stabilising budgets and improving speed-to-market — two things that every evolving e-commerce brand desperately needs today.

4. What kinds of retailers stand to benefit the most from Virtual Try-On and AI imaging tools  is it limited to fashion, or broader categories as well?

Fashion may be the starting point, but these tools are applicable far beyond apparel. Beauty, eyewear, footwear, jewellery, home décor, lifestyle accessories — any category where visualisation influences buying decisions benefits significantly. Retailers with large SKU volumes or frequent product updates gain the most value because AI imaging drastically reduces operational load. It’s not limited to style-centric brands; it’s a universal capability that enhances customer experience anywhere visual confidence is key. The goal is to help customers make informed choices, and that applies to far more categories than just clothing.

5. Voice-based AI is emerging fast. How is Webuters using Voice AI for retail customer engagement, support, or in-store experiences?

Voice AI is becoming the next major interaction layer, and we are using it to make retail more conversational and accessible. Our systems enable voice-led product discovery, instant customer support, and in-store experiences through smart kiosks and voice-enabled devices. Customers can compare products, check availability, or seek guidance without navigating complex menus. For retailers, this improves service efficiency, reduces wait times, and adds a layer of personalisation that feels natural and intuitive. Voice AI is helping create stores — both online and offline — that respond immediately and intelligently to customer intent.

6. Your platform also enables custom AI agents. How do these agents help retailers automate workflows such as customer queries, product discovery, or backend operations?

Our AI agents act as intelligent co-workers embedded into a retailer’s ecosystem. They answer customer queries, recommend products, manage backend tasks, pull insights from large datasets, and keep information updated across platforms. They integrate directly into CRM, inventory systems, and cataloging tools, ensuring operational workflows stay smooth and responsive. These agents reduce manual workload, eliminate repetitive tasks, and ensure customers get instant, accurate responses. The result is a more automated, efficient retail environment where human teams can focus on strategy and innovation instead of repetitive operational troubleshooting.

7. How does Webuters ensure data privacy and accuracy when building AI agents trained on enterprise-specific datasets?

Data privacy is foundational to everything we build. Our AI agents are trained in secure, isolated environments with strict access controls, encryption, and role-based permissions. No enterprise data is ever shared outside the client’s ecosystem or used for cross-training. Accuracy is achieved through fine-tuning on verified datasets, rigorous validation cycles, and continuous monitoring once deployed. We follow responsible AI principles — transparency, bias checks, and auditability — ensuring the system behave predictably and ethically. Our approach prioritises trust, because AI can only be truly valuable when it is both secure and accountable.

8. What have been some of the most successful or high-impact use cases you have seen so far across AI Try-On, AI Photo Studio, Voice AI, or AI agent deployment?

Some of our most meaningful outcomes come from retailers who needed speed and precision. AI Try-On has significantly improved conversion rates by giving customers visual clarity. AI Photo Studio has cut catalog production time from 10–15 days to less than 24 hours for several e-commerce brands. Voice AI has streamlined customer support during peak sales periods. And our custom AI agents have automated up to 60% of repetitive workflows, from product queries to backend coordination. Across use cases, the impact is consistent: faster operations, sharper customer engagement, and measurable business growth.

9. How scalable are these AI solutions for retailers who operate in multiple geographies or across omnichannel environments?

Our retail AI solutions are designed to scale globally. With cloud-native architecture, multilingual capabilities, and flexible integrations, retailers can deploy across multiple countries, customer segments, and sales channels with ease. Whether it’s web, mobile, in-store kiosks, or social commerce, the AI adapts to each environment seamlessly. As retailers expand, the system learns from new data, audience behaviours, and cultural nuances. This makes the platform not just scalable, but self-improving — a critical capability for brands operating across diverse geographies and omnichannel networks.

10. What does the integration process look like when embedding these AI tools into existing retail systems like CRM, CMS, or inventory platforms?

We built our ecosystem to be plug-and-play. Through APIs and composable architecture, our AI tools integrate natively with systems like Salesforce, Shopify, Zoho, Magento, custom CRMs, POS systems, and inventory platforms. The process includes data mapping, environment setup, model calibration, and a lightweight testing phase before going live. This ensures minimal disruption and fast deployment, even for large retailers with complex stacks. Our goal is always the same: add intelligence without adding friction.

11. Looking ahead, what new capabilities or innovations is Webuters planning to add to its retail AI suite over the next year?

The coming year is focused on deepening retail intelligence. We are expanding AI Try-On into full 3D avatar experiences, enhancing AI Photo Studio with environment and pose generation, and building more conversational voice-commerce flows. We are also introducing multi-agent retail copilots through OfficeIQ to automate everything from merchandising decisions to demand forecasting. Our roadmap is built around one belief — AI should make retail simpler, faster, and more human. And we are committed to shaping tools that move the entire industry forward.
