With AI-driven platforms, quality education is no longer limited by geography. Learners from different parts of the world can access the same resources, creating a more level playing field, says Agrawal during an interview
Your journey from Mathura to building a globally recognized tech company is truly inspiring. Can you take us back to the early days what motivated you to start AppSquadz?
Honestly, AppSquadz didn’t start with funding, a safety net, or a perfect plan it started with clarity, courage, and a strong execution mindset. In 2014, we began in a small rented room in Noida with limited resources and zero backing. But we were very clear on one thing—we weren’t here to just build a company, we were here to build a global tech brand.
Coming from a smaller city, I knew the odds and the perceptions. People don’t usually expect global tech companies to come from such backgrounds but that became our edge. We wanted to break that narrative.
Early on, I identified a critical gap. Businesses were going digital at scale, but the market lacked consistent, high-quality tech execution. There were plenty of service providers, but very few partners who could truly deliver scalable, reliable, and future-ready solutions. That’s where we positioned AppSquadz not just as a service company, but as a technology partner focused on innovation, performance, and trust.
We started lean with a small, hungry team and a sharp focus on building robust digital products. Whether it was mobile apps, enterprise platforms, or custom solutions, our approach was simple write clean code, build scalable architecture, and deliver on time every time.
Of course, the journey had its share of challenges tight budgets, long hours, constant pressure but every project delivered, every client retained, and every milestone achieved reinforced one belief: we were building something that could compete globally.
And that is how AppSquadz evolved from a small room setup to a company trusted by clients across markets driven by technology, powered by consistency, and built on execution
AppSquadz today operates across 30+ countries with over 1,200 projects delivered. What were the key strategies that helped you scale globally?
Scaling AppSquadz to 30+ countries and delivering over 1,200 projects has been a result of the right mix of strategy, technology, and people.
One of our key enablers has been Amazon Web Services, which gave us the scalability and flexibility to serve global clients efficiently. At the same time, our team has been our biggest strength building a culture of ownership, adaptability, and collaboration that helped us expand across diverse markets.
We have also stayed aligned with changing market trends through continuous research, ensuring we evolve with technology and client needs. Positioning ourselves as an end-to-end technology solutions provider—from ideation to deployment and support allowed us to build deeper, long-term partnerships.
Our strong focus on quality delivery has led to high customer retention, with repeat clients contributing significantly to our growth. For me, this journey is just getting started we’re continuously pushing boundaries, aiming bigger, and building a future-ready global tech company that can create even greater impact in the years ahead.
You have positioned AppSquadz as an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner. How has cloud technology been a growth catalyst for your company and your clients?
Becoming an Advanced Consulting Partner with Amazon Web Services has been a strong growth driver for both AppSquadz and our clients.
Cloud technology has allowed us to move faster, build scalable solutions, and deliver globally without the limitations of traditional infrastructure. It enables our teams to focus on innovation whether it’s cloud-native development, AI/ML integration, or high-performance architectures.
For our clients, AWS brings speed, flexibility, and cost efficiency. Startups can launch quickly, and enterprises can modernize and scale seamlessly. It helps businesses stay agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
My experience says that, cloud is at the core of the global tech future, and AWS continues to lead that transformation. For us, it’s not just a platform—it’s a key enabler that helps us innovate, scale, and create long-term value.
EduCrypt has impacted millions of students globally. How do you see AI transforming the future of education?
AI is fundamentally changing how we look at education. Through platforms like EduCrypt, we are seeing a clear shift from standardized learning to highly personalized experiences. Students today don’t have to follow a fixed path AI allows content, pace, and recommendations to adapt to how each individual learns.
From our experience, the biggest impact has been on scale and efficiency. Educators can now create, manage, and distribute content globally without heavy infrastructure, while also using real-time analytics to understand what’s working and what’s not. That level of insight simply wasn’t possible earlier.
Another important shift is accessibility. With AI-driven platforms, quality education is no longer limited by geography. Learners from different parts of the world can access the same resources, creating a more level playing field.
I feel AI making education more proactive and outcome-focused here systems don’t just deliver content, but actively guide learners and improve results. For us, it’s a very exciting space, because it’s not just evolving education—it’s redefining it at a global scale’
With VideoCrypt focusing on secure video streaming and OTT innovation, how do you see the media and content industry evolving in the next 5 years?
Over the next five years, the media and content industry will become far more secure, personalized, and ownership-driven—and that’s exactly the direction we’re building with platforms like VideoCrypt.
Security will move to the center of the conversation. As premium and exclusive content grows, so does the risk of piracy. Technologies like multi-DRM, dynamic watermarking, and anti-screen capture will become standard expectations, not add-ons, as content owners look to protect both their IP and revenue streams.
At the same time, OTT will evolve beyond large aggregators. We’re already seeing a strong shift towards white-label platforms, where creators, brands, and educators want full control over their content, audience, and monetization. This direct-to-consumer model will define the next wave of growth.
Another key shift will be in user experience. AI-led personalization, real-time analytics, and interactive streaming will make content consumption more engaging and data-driven. It won’t just be about streaming anymore—it will be about delivering the right content to the right user at the right time.
From a technology standpoint, cloud infrastructure and low-latency delivery will continue to push boundaries, enabling seamless, high-quality streaming across geographies and devices.
The future of this industry is being shaped by platforms that can combine security, scalability, and personalization with strong monetization capabilities. That’s where real value will be created—and that’s the space we are actively building for.
AppSquadz is empanelled with the IndiaAI Mission. What does this recognition mean for you and your organization?
Being empanelled with the IndiaAI Mission is a significant milestone for AppSquadz. For us, it’s not just recognition—it’s a strong validation of the capabilities we’ve built in the AI and emerging technology space.
At an organizational level, it reinforces the trust that we can contribute meaningfully to India’s growing AI ecosystem. It opens up opportunities to collaborate on large-scale, impactful projects where AI can solve real-world challenges—whether in governance, education, or enterprise transformation.

Do you see AppSquadz evolving beyond a service-based company into a product-driven global tech leader?
Absolutely, this is a natural progression for us. While AppSquadz has built a strong foundation as a service-driven company, our long-term vision has always been to create scalable, product-led solutions with global impact.
Over the years, working with diverse clients has given us deep insights into real market challenges. That experience is now shaping our product thinking building solutions that are practical, innovative, and designed for scale. Platforms like EduCrypt and VideoCrypt are early examples of how we’re already moving in that direction.
What is exciting is that this is just the beginning. We are currently working on a few new product initiatives that we’ll be unveiling soon. While I’d like to keep some curiosity alive, I can share that these products are being built around AI, cloud, and next-generation technologies, aimed at solving real-world problems at a global level.
I see AppSquadz evolving into a balanced tech company where strong service capabilities fuel execution, and innovative products drive long-term growth, IP creation, and global positioning. The next phase for us is not just about growth, but about building something truly impactful and scalable.
