VLIV Hosts SheBuilds 2025: Empowering India’s Women in Tech

India’s purpose-built managed living platform, recently hosted SheBuilds 2025, a pan-India women-only hackathon powered by HackCulture and supported by GitHub. The event, held at VLIV’s flagship women’s residence in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, was a 24-hour immersive hackathon designed to bring India’s brightest female tech minds together to solve real-world AI and technology challenges.

The hackathon drew tremendous interest with 1,500 individual registrations and 530 all-women tech teams from 23 states and 25+ cities. After a rigorous national screening process, 45 finalist teams were invited to VLIV to live, collaborate, and pitch their innovative solutions under the guidance of expert mentors and jury members.

• Elite Selection: 45 teams selected through a multi-stage national process received hands-on mentorship during the 24-hour hackathon.
• Academic Excellence: Finalists represented top institutions including IIT Madras, IIIT Kota, IIIT Gwalior, IGDTUW, NSUT, and University of Delhi.
• Innovation-Focused: Participants tackled real-world AI and tech-driven problem statements, creating solutions with tangible social and technological impact.
• Collaborative Ecosystem: Partners included HackCulture, GitHub, OmniDimension, Plaksha University, TestMySkills, GeekRoom, and Women in Tech.

• 1st Place: Pixie Chicks, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi
• 2nd Place: CodeSync, Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, New Delhi
• 3rd Place: 404 Error: Boys Not Found, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), New Delhi

These teams presented innovative solutions aligned with pressing AI and tech challenges, demonstrating leadership, creativity, and a commitment to shaping India’s digital future.

Participants described the hackathon as “safe,” “empowering,” and a “core memory,” sharing experiences on LinkedIn and other social platforms. VLIV’s teaser video garnered 45,000+ views within 24 hours, highlighting the event’s reach and the enthusiasm of India’s next-gen women technologists.
