Tetra Pak Reimagines Cost-Efficient Beverage Production at Drinktec India 2025

At Drinktec India 2025, the conversation was unmistakably clear: India’s beverage industry is entering a new era, where cost efficiency and sustainability are not parallel paths but a single, integrated vision. Leading this shift was Tetra Pak, which unveiled a suite of solutions designed to help Indian beverage producers operate smarter, cleaner, and more profitably.

Inside the buzzing halls of the Mumbai exhibition, Tetra Pak’s pavilion stood out for its clarity of purpose. It introduced technologies engineered to compress operational costs while elevating product quality — a combination that beverage manufacturers across the country are aggressively pursuing.

A New Benchmark for Operational Efficiency

Among the most talked-about innovations was the Made-in-India horizontal filter for sugar syrup, a breakthrough designed to deliver superior clarity while reducing filtration costs. The company also showcased the Tetra Pak In-line Blender B, known for its precision blending and reduction of ingredient wastage. For high-speed operations, the Tetra Pak E3/Speed Hyper capable of producing up to 40,000 packs per hour demonstrated how eBeam sterilisation can bring both consistency and cost savings.

These technologies collectively underline a message Tetra Pak has championed for years: operational efficiency is not only possible, it is scalable.

Innovation for India’s Evolving Palate

As Indian consumers move toward high-value, functional beverages, Tetra Pak presented concepts tailored to new preferences. Low-sugar beverages, electrolyte-infused hydration drinks, protein-forward dairy alternatives, and fortified dairy formulations reflected a deep understanding of India’s shifting nutritional and lifestyle patterns.

Fuel for India’s Startup Ecosystem

Tetra Pak also highlighted flexible systems ideal for young brands making their first move into the market. The focus was clear enable founders to innovate quickly while maintaining world-class safety standards.

Sustainability as a Competitive Edge

The showcase featured India’s first beverage carton made with certified recycled polymers, produced at Tetra Pak’s ISCC PLUS-certified Chakan facility. The company also demonstrated new paper-based packaging formats and its Plant Integration & Control Concept, signalling a future where sustainability is integrated across the entire value chain.

With the beverage landscape evolving at unprecedented speed, Tetra Pak’s display at Drinktec India 2025 offered a blueprint for a more resilient, efficient, and environmentally aligned industry one where innovation and responsibility move forward together.
