RMZ Supports Sopaan for AIKYAM 2025, Strengthening its Commitment

RMZ, one of the world’s largest privately controlled real asset and consumer platform companies, extended its support to AIKYAM 2025, a three-day cultural event curated by Sopaan and hosted from 21 to 23 November at the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora. The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and brought together UNESCO, Maharashtra Tourism and the City of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in a powerful celebration of art, heritage, diplomacy and cultural innovation.

AIKYAM 2025 transformed the ancient caves into an immersive stage for global cultural dialogue. Ambassadors, cultural leaders and patrons from several countries gathered for a rare, experiential journey through India’s living heritage. The programme included an address by Dr Timothy Curtis, Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in India, and a session by celebrated author and historian William Dalrymple at the historic Kailasa Temple. The highlight of the event was Omkara, a spectacular ballet curated by Gauri Sharma Tripathi featuring artists from seven countries. Visitors also experienced folk performances, textiles, curated Maharashtrian cuisine and a remarkable live mural by Brazilian artist Sergio Cordeiro, who reimagined the Ajanta frescoes in a contemporary style.

AIKYAM featured a classical concert previously presented at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The performance echoed the event’s central message of oneness and reinforced themes of harmony between humanity, nature, science and spirituality. Guests were also guided through the Ajanta and Ellora caves, deepening their understanding of India’s artistic, architectural and philosophical heritage.

Udiksha Panshikar, Director, RMZ Real Estate Investments, said that AIKYAM 2025 highlights the need for cultural heritage, environmental responsibility and innovation to work together in shaping the future. She added that RMZ’s collaboration with Sopaan strengthens its long-term vision of protecting ecological and cultural assets while building resilient and sustainable cities. According to her, development and conservation must reinforce each other rather than operate in conflict.

Siddhaant Mohta, Co-founder and Director of Sopaan, stated that AIKYAM is a strategic initiative that brings together heritage, performance and dialogue to foster global understanding. He described the three-day event as an immersive journey that transformed the sacred cave complexes into living environments for unity and exchange. He noted Sopaan’s experience in curating cross-cultural programmes with the royal families of Jaisalmer and Gwalior and with the Delhi Government at Purana Qila. AIKYAM stands at a global pedestal marking the United Nations’ 80-year legacy while echoing its founding ideals of peace, cooperation and a shared global future. Mohta also highlighted the significant role of partners and sponsors in bringing this vision to life.

Dr Timothy Curtis emphasized that Ajanta and Ellora are among the earliest Indian sites to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. He described them as dynamic repositories of philosophy, creativity and shared human endeavour. Their legacy, he said, reflects artistic excellence, scientific achievement and the coexistence of diverse traditions. In a rapidly changing world, these sites remind humanity to renew its commitment to dialogue, cooperation and collective action. AIKYAM 2025 brings this spirit alive, turning cultural heritage into a pathway for global understanding.

RMZ continues to strengthen its engagement with Maharashtra’s cultural landscape through sustained collaborations. Its support for AIKYAM aligns with its long-term commitment to preserving India’s cultural heritage while deepening global cultural partnerships. RMZ is also expanding its presence in the state through the upcoming RMZ Nexus project in Mumbai, expected to contribute significantly to the region’s business and economic ecosystem.

RMZ remains one of the world’s largest privately owned alternative asset owners and long-term value investors. With a diversified portfolio across real estate, infrastructure and emerging growth sectors, the company continues to shape India’s landscape while championing responsible, sustainable investment practices that generate lasting stakeholder value.
