PIF Partners with FIFA for Groundbreaking 2025 FIFA Club World Cup™ in the U.S.

With 32 top clubs competing and matches across 11 U.S. cities, the tournament is set to redefine the future of club football—and PIF is right at the heart of it.

In a bold move that cements its growing presence in global sport, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia has officially partnered with FIFA for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.

This isn’t just a sponsorship. It’s a strategic collaboration that reflects both organisations’ shared ambition to expand football’s global footprint—through innovation, youth engagement, and grassroots development. With 32 elite clubs from all six FIFA confederations competing, the tournament promises a transformative experience for football fans across the globe.

“We are delighted to welcome PIF as a partner… this support is integral to delivering a historic tournament and investing in the development of club football everywhere,” said Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer.

 What Makes This Tournament Special?

  • First 32-team edition of the Club World Cup
  • 11 host cities and 12 stadiums across the U.S.
  • 63 matches featuring some of the most decorated clubs globally
  • Final showdown at MetLife Stadium, New York/New Jersey, on July 13
  • Live-streamed free on DAZN.com

This tournament is a part of a larger movement—both for FIFA and PIF—to grow football not just as a game, but as a catalyst for community, opportunity, and global impact.

PIF’s Expanding Role in Global Sports

The partnership builds on PIF’s growing sports portfolio, including recent collaborations with Concacaf and continued investment in football. It also underscores the fund’s role in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 transformation strategy, using sport as a lever to diversify the economy and foster global engagement.

“We’re unlocking opportunities to drive the growth of football worldwide,” said Mohammed AlSayyad, Head of Corporate Brand at PIF. “This partnership is about delivering impact—from grassroots to global arenas.”

 More Than Just a Game

As Saudi Arabia prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2034™, this partnership sets the stage for the Kingdom’s long-term ambition: to create new opportunities, amplify youth engagement, and build a legacy that stretches beyond borders and generations.

About PIF:
Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, PIF, is the engine driving economic diversification through strategic global investments.
