Union Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, arrived in Prayagraj today to participate in the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025. He was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi. Upon his arrival, the Defence Minister first took a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge. Following this, Shri Rajnath Singh visited key spiritual sites including the Akshay Vat, Patalpuri, and the Bade Hanuman temple. He also took time to review the arrangements for the Mahakumbh.
In his remarks, Shri Rajnath Singh described his experience as a privilege, emphasizing that taking a dip in the holy Sangam in Prayagraj is a profound spiritual moment. He highlighted that the Mahakumbh is not just a festival but a grand celebration of Indian culture and spirituality. “Everyone should visit the Mahakumbh to truly understand the essence of Indianness,” he stated.
