KPMG in India has announced the appointment of Sunil Badala as the new Head of Tax, effective February 1, 2025. Sunil will be based in the firm’s Mumbai office and will join the India Leadership Team.
With over 27 years at KPMG, Sunil has played a crucial role in leading the BFSI tax practice for the past 9 years. His exceptional client service and ability to foster a collaborative work environment have earned him respect within the organization.
Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG in India, expressed confidence in Sunil’s leadership, stating, “With his experience and expertise, our tax practice will continue to thrive and evolve. He will have full support from the India Leadership Team, and together we will ensure the accelerated growth of our Tax practice.”
Sunil will succeed Rajeev Dimri, who has led the tax practice for over five years. Rajeev’s contributions to the firm have been invaluable, and he will take on other strategic roles within the organization.
